I would like to start a new adventure with my photography business and that would be product photography. We are starting to get into the cold and snowy months here in Iowa. The kind of weather that it is hard to be out in for a long period of time. Since I don’t have a studio I won’t be able to do many portrait shoots. I will still continue with the sports photography part of my business. So something that I want to try is product photography.

This is a great type of business to be able to do in a small space inside. Right now I am just working with some products that I have. With the hope that in the near future I can start working with brands. So far what I have done has been simple. But I am still working on getting my space set up for this type of photography.

Right now I am going to take a bunch of pictures of products that I already own. This way I can get a lot better at styling and getting the best angles out of products. as well as work on branding and getting the best for the brand of the product.

Along with doing this I have started a new Instagram account that will just hold my product and commercial photography. That way you don’t have to scroll through all the landscape, sports, and etc. to get to the products. If you want to follow that account it is MccauleyPhotoCommercial. I think having two accounts will keep everything more organized to what each category.

Here are few pictures I have taken. I can’t wait to finish getting my area set up so I can do more in depth pictures. But I think this is a great start on the area that I have.
